About this provider

Thing Adventures provides unique opportunities for NDIS participants to experience Queensland’s stunning outdoors. We are passionate about helping people connect with nature in a way that suits their individual needs, through day trips and STA/respite experiences, with a strong focus on accessibility and personalised support.

Our mission is simple: to offer participants the chance to achieve meaningful outcomes in beautiful natural settings such as Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island), Moreton Island, Gordon Country, and more. Whether it’s a day outing or a multi-day respite, each trip is designed to ensure participants can enjoy the outdoors in a way that feels comfortable and empowering.

At Thing Adventures, we believe that spending time in nature has a powerful impact, but we are not a therapeutic intervention service. Our goal is to provide safe, accessible adventures and outdoor experiences that allow participants to explore, relax, and enjoy the best of Australia’s natural landscapes, all while working towards their NDIS goals and outcomes.

Participants also have the chance to learn new skills such as photography, fishing, and even cooking. We’re dedicated to accessibility, and every trip is tailored to individual preferences and abilities, ensuring that participants can grow and become stronger individuals in a positive and uplifting environment.
