About the Role
As a Senior Support Worker at FLDS, your role will encompass:
- Community Access: Assisting participants in engaging with their community through social, recreational, and educational activities.
- Self-Care Assistance: Providing personal support with daily living activities to ensure comfort and independence.
- Home Care Assistance: Helping with household tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Building Client Caseload: When initiating your employment with Flourishing Lives Disability Services, you will be expected to build a singular support worker case load. As a Senior Support Worker, you will be representing the company by working toward building and establishing the company in your local area. You will be regularly support by managers with networking and onboarding.
- Communication: You will regularly communicate with head office to assist with maintaining quality operations in your local area. You will also engage with other providers consistently to develop positive connections, and relationships.
Our Senior Support Worker will be expected to develop and expand our services in their local area, whilst upholding high ethical standards of practice, and company values. Your role will begin as a support worker, providing core supports to individuals in your area, however, will eventually expand into a regional coordinator role to oversee the quality of our services, ensuring a smooth and ethical operation in your local area. You will be regularly supported by the Head Office team in all aspects of your employment, to ensure quality in all services provided.
Duties will expand as FLDS engages in further services.
Key Focus Areas
- Supporting participants to safely engage in the community and complete Active Daily Living tasks (ADLs).
- Upholding participants' dignity of choice while understanding and adhering to duty of care principles.
- Maintaining accurate and timely support records and record keeping.
- Always acting within the best interest of our participants and company.
- Ensuring you maintain high ethical standards of practice in all aspects of your role, and upholding FLDS values.

Essential Criteria:
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Current Police Check
- Completion of all relevant NDIS modules
- Valid Australian driver's license
- Comprehensively insured and registered car that is well-maintained
- Certificate ||| in individual support (disability) or equivalent
